I assumed the responsibility of preparing funeral arrangements for my nephew, sight unseen, because I reside in North Carolina. Our family did not know what to expect from the services of Mickey’s Sunset but Mr. Rodney Gibbs came highly recommended. All communication between Mr. Gibbs and I were via-phone/text and emails. Mr. Gibbs was professional, polite, pleasant and extremely patient. He is the consummate mortician! On the day of the private family viewing, we were met with a very fine representation of our loved one. As a family, we walked away from the funeral services delivered by Mickey’s Sunset Funeral home; feeling heartbroken but extremely satisfied! My nephew looked absolutely AMAZING!!! He looked just as handsome, as he did in life, while lying in his final resting bed. When my dad passed, my brother in-law called Peterson Chapel in St. Michael. They responded right away and have been wonderful to work with the whole way through. They had someone come out to our home after the funeral and talk to us about what the next steps were and what to expect when contacting people.
