“There seems to be a lot of misinformation between the different departments. There is as little communication to me directly about what was going on. After surgery I was to stay the night. But I camped out for 6 hours downstairs in a private area of recovery. No one told me I was waiting for a room. Surgery staff was outstanding and amazing before and after surgery. Just more communication. My nurses and aids were kind and patient after I got to my room. They were quick to respond if I needed something. I was surprised how quiet it was. Let’s just say you are better off to order Panera for delivery to your room. Food cold. Bread moldy. Food orders not right but I’m not sure any hospital has a good food service I thought everyone was kind and nice. Just prefer Morton’s women and children a bit more.”

“I needed a same day appt for severe abdominal pain that I suspected was gallbladder pain. I got in with Dr. Ferguson and she did blood work and recommended I go to the emergency room. Thank goodness I did, I needed my gall bladder removed and needed it removed ASAP. Dr. Ferguson was wonderfully kind and compassionate and took my concerns seriously instead of writing things off as “a virus”. Her office called for a follow up to see how I was doing and I will be using her regularly from now on.”

“I chose Dr. Masters after seeing his ad. What caught my attention was that it noted he is a D.O. That got my vote! I had been feeling pain and oddness since a severe fall that I had experienced. Not only did Dr. Masters make me feel immediately better after the treatment but I continue to improve with each visit. Sadly I am returning to Monterey Bay and wish I could pack him up and take him with me. Make an appointment with Dr. Masters. You will positively benefit from it. Dr. Masters is enjoyable to talk with, he shares insights about your illnesses and what to do to better live with your ailments. I really like that he doesn't jump to writing prescriptions and having patients quick to swallow more pills. “For the most part every experience I've had with Methodist Olive Branch has been great. The employees, in my opinion, are exceptional - especially the nurses, techs, etc. With it being a hospital, you will definitely run into issues now and again particularly when they are extremely busy. It is a smaller hospital so this is to be expected. However, I felt the staff handles it really well and as long as you're patient and understanding, your experience will be much smoother. When my daughter recently had to spend a full day and a night in the ER, and everyone was sooo caring, helpful, positive, and very professional. I had recently had surgery on my foot so walking around was still difficult. My daughter's care team was amazing during this stressful time. They were very attentive to my child and provided excellent care. Also, one of the employees even swapped out the super uncomfortable chair for a reclining chair so that I was able to prop my foot up. My one issue was that the drink machines were all sold out.”
