“I was very excited to find a shop in the Bay Area that offered Vapor Honing (Vapor blasting) services. This method of media blasting uses ambient temp water with "#6 glass" media. The media is so fine it feels like baking soda. I learned this after but you're able to leave plastics and rubbers on and vapor honing does NOT damage the part. Since it's a non-abrasive process the parts come out clean and almost polished looking. I feel like the aluminum parts get the best shine. One of the shop guys showed me a steel manifold that was vapor honed and since the metal was harder it doesn't get the same shine but the parts still come out nice. I believe that this is also called "dustless blasting"... Since the media is carried by water, there is no risk of heating up or warping parts. I will definitely bring back more parts for them to take care of!”

They were meticulous in prepping the job, he caulked gaps and holes that were ignored by prior painters and even repaired a small piece of siding that had been damaged by dry rot. They ensured non-painted surfaces were protected, left the surrounding patio and walkways pristine upon completion and washed the windows. Even though it wasn't part of the original scope we discussed, Jeff also went on roof and painted some vents that were peeling.
