“Beginning of the season so was easy to get in and out. Parking was available for truck and trailer, although I see it being harder once more boaters are on the water. Had a great time crushing bass so overall a good time”

“This ground campsite is a day or two kayak trip away from Chokoloskee and Everglades City. A free standing tent is (almost) required because your tent is setup on a dock-like structure and tent stakes don't drive well into the dock. If you are creative, you can use rope or twine to tie each side of the tent to the end of the boards. There were two picnic tables when I was last here and there is room for at least 4 two-person tents. We fit three one-person tents on one side of the dock structure and could have fit another. You could do the same on the other side. It is totally peaceful out here, and depending on the time of year you may catch a beautiful sunset. Make sure to bring everything into your tent at night. There are mice living here that will fight over whatever you leave out. You'll hear them at night under the boards as they fight over what the camper before you left behind. Dolphins and alligators also frequent this site. This is a great spot to get away from it all as you head down to Flamingo.”

“Child loves this park. Only thing is that a large group of men (approx 8-10) tend to gather close to the play yard on one of the benches despite not having children there. As a single mom, it does make me a little uncomfortable so i avoid going when i drive by and see this and go to another park in a different area (though it may have to do with a past trauma. Not sure if that may be having a larger impact on my opinion or if its just instinct)”

“Since there isn’t a lot of info on this launch, I thought I’d share. Turn down the dirt (and very bumpy) road towards Snook Haven and when you see the camp sign, turn left towards the boat trailer parking. The boat launch will be straight ahead, the kayak launch is left of the boat ramp. We actually missed it and unloaded at the boat ramp but it was nice because we were able to back the trailer right up to the water. I happened to look left after we unloaded the trailer and spotted it. It’s a nice kayak launch but you need to carry or cart your kayak about 50ft (I’m guessing) to get to it. If you go early, the ramps and parking lot are quiet. We went up the river a little more than 2 1/2 miles then turned around and went w the currant. Lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife especially gators!”

“What an absolutely amazing place to catch a break. The people here are beyond friendly and I can see why my partner said it was the best place in the world. The bathrooms are wonderfully kept and equipped, the grounds are immaculate, and the dusk and dark are quiet and polite. I'll be looking forward to our next visit!”

“Came out on a Thursday and turns out it's the perfect time because we were the only ones in the park for most of the visit! The experience was awesome, the animals are super interactive and not to mention GORGEOUS! There are benches throughout the park to just sit and watch the animals in their home. The donkey, Blackjack, had a great personality and yelled at us when we didn't say hi to him! Great visit and even better price, the man who worked the gift shop/admissions was super nice and you can tell he takes pride in taking care of his animals. Will definitely be back!”

“We had a very good experience here at Echo Valley!! The people are beyond nice and very generous. They were always easy to get in touch with and always willing to help with anything we needed. Don’t believe any negative that you hear about these people because it is all wrong. I would recommend this campground to anyone that needs a place to stay! We became close to the owners here and also the owners at the campground next door. We hate to say goodbye to this place but look forward to possibly coming back in the future.”

“Nice, easy to walk gravel trail, seemingly the most used, and possibly the main trail, through wooded landscape next to a creek. Creek must be VERY polluted, however, as there were signs warning of the water and absolutely zero signs of aquatic life in the water nor on the creek bed that I could see during my visit here.”
Address: 210 E Michigan Ave, Grass Lake, MI 49240, USA
“Beautiful serene park in the heart of Grass Lake. The Whistlestop train depot is a beautifully restored building that can be rented out to the public for parties. And the flower gardens are a great background for photos. A must stop if in the area.”
