Ellsworth Urban Park

“Pretty decent dog park. Not so good for playing fetch. It is basically on a slope. The only flat area is concrete. Also the door to the park is in an impractical place for getting there by vehicle. A lot of very nice dogs here though. My dogs always enjoy their company.”

Savage Neck Dunes Natural Area Preserve

Park

“This place is great!! It's so pretty. Both the beach and the woodland trails are lovely. I preferred the woods and so did my dog. Only 8 parking spaces so get there early. Can't imagine how inconvenient it would be to get towed out there and have to find a ride to your car.”

“Great park with lots of trails, picnic areas, pavilions, and a playground. There is also a scenic overlook of the Allegheny River”

Oppenheim County Park

Address: 2713 Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, USA

Park

“This park is great. When you pull in there is a big Pond for fishing with tables and benches to just enjoy the view. There is a parking lot right by the Basketball, volleyball courts, and restroom, and there are also a few more restrooms located throughout the park. Once you pass the Courts there is a pretty nice playground with some swings and Tons of picnic benches throughout entire park with alot of them being Handicap friendly.(half of bench is cut with table being long so a person in a wheelchair can sut at the table like everyone else, which was very cool and ive never saw that before) There is also a water splash pad that is free and awesome to bring your kids to on hot days. This park is very big and has another playground on the side with more pavilions for events and parties. Definitely recommend going to this park, whether it be Alone or with your family. Definitely a place to check out!”

Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge

Address: 35001 Lewis and Clark Hwy, Washougal, WA 98671, USA

Park

“Definitely is a nice nature area to check out! With it being so close to the highway you don't really lose all the highway noise until you're quite a ways onto the trail, but then you find yourself with no noise but birds and running water from the river. It also has some nice, albeit somewhat obstructed, views of Mt. Hood on a clear day, but nothing to write home about. Overall opinion: I'm glad that I checked it out and it's worth checking out yourself, but it won't be a place that I repeatedly visit in the future.”

Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park

Address: 7000 Ardath St, Austin, TX 78757, USA

Park

“Great neighborhood pool. Spacious parking, lots of trees to find shade and all the kids are hilarious. Seems like Austin could pad this lifeguard shortage from Northwest - the guards are a wee bit uptight imo. Anyhoo covers all swim types - you got your deep end, your lap pool, your open space pool and your kiddie pool. Nice family spot for sure.”

Audubon Wetlands Preserve

Address: 1379 Township Rd 743, Ashland, OH 44805, USA

Park

“This is a hidden gem closely located by our hotel. First off, this is a natural park with native Ohio plants and wildlife. We spotted snapping turtles, turkey vultures, and an eagle! The cattails weren’t in season nor were the mosquitoes. They have a great shelter with three picnic tables that overlook the wetlands. If you’re grabbing food off I-71, skip eating in the car and go here for a quick break”

Rose Hill Burial Park

Cemetery Funeral home Park

“Rose Hill is absolutely one of the best funeral homes. They were very professional, and very genuine. They took their time and answered all my questions provided me with any information I may have needed after making any kind of arrangements. If I needed to call them for anything they were there. They made the arrangement process as easy as it possibly could be. I really appreciate the excellent staff. Since we didn’t have an open service, because it’s not at all what their wishes were, they still had a very sweet set up. They made me feel like my family was their family too. Thank you Rose Hill.”

Della Gates and Edward Charles Bott Wildlife Area

Address: Blanchester, OH 45107, USA

Park

“I've been visiting this spot to fish for years now. It is about a half mile from my home so that was the initial draw for me. It used to be a hard spot to fish. It is a small pond and you could only fish in two or three spots that were clear and gave you enough room to cast and even those spots only gave you access to a third of the pond. I was really disappointed with it until I put my line in the water. I've never been shut out at this pond. We have caught mostly Crappie, bluegill, and Largemouth Bass. And there were plenty of them. Never a dull moment. Always had some action going on. So when I visited again a year after moving away I was super pleased to see that it had been cleared of the brush and foliage that once limited the fishing area. A lot more space and i found it easy to maneuver around the entire pond. Finally being able to fish the area that had been impossible to reach before. It was a Largemouth Bass honey hole too!! Ponds looked super nice and had a very comfortable feeling to it. Previous visitors of low class, morales, and values had littered the place with all Kinds of trash. I spent a good 45 minutes cleaning up their mess. Its a shame that we finally got to improve on the location just to have other visitors disrespect and abuse the privilege. I would recommend this place for a short solo trip but. I really think with how active the fish are that it would be a great place to introduce children to the joys of fishing and the education of conservation. There is a small area right off the main road that has room enough to park 2 or 3 vehicles and it's a very short walk from there. I say grab your rod and reel , and go give it a try. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I have.,”

Vista Monterey Park

Address: 633 N Val Vista Dr, Mesa, AZ 85205, USA

Park

“I live near by and visit this park often. It's popular with the local neighborhood residents mostly but others stop in. Our neighbors are helpful and caring, therefore I feel this park is extremely safe and always has eyes on the people there. Rarely are there older kids causing trouble because it wouldn't be tolerated. Consider this a great place to enjoy the outdoors, just be mindful that it's right on busy Val Vista so pets need to be watched. Rarely do people leash their animals which is accepted by all visitors but please clean up your messes to keep the park clean for everyone!”
