“When you are on a packed morning commuter train and the main engine fails, Riverworks is a wonderful stop to be stuck at. Employees only, so everyone is forced to snuggle up and sweat together, listening to other panicked passengers call into work or reschedule appointments. Thankfully, you have a full cell signal. Although the industrial buildings look like a 1950's apocalyptic movie set, they apparently do some pretty cool stuff here at Riverworks. In the hour this train had been stuck here, I have developed a real curiosity about Riverworks. Like, I wonder if they have a cafe that sells coffee? Nice bathrooms? Can uber find this place? I may never know, since we are not allowed off the train. Very exciting.”

“I frequent the Port of Virginia regularly and I can tell you without a doubt that this terminal is far better than Virginia International Gateway (VIG) and Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT). The human element here is huge, nothing is automated. The employees are respectful, helpful, and efficient. Usually I'm only here for an hour or less, but even when something goes wrong it's usually dealt with fairly quickly. The Port of Virginia could take a lesson from this particular terminal, truckers would much rather deal with humans than robots.”
