“Had such a wonderful time with our guide Ernie. Ernie is extremely knowledgeable about every kind of horse related topic you could think of; he was by far one of the best parts about this tour. We learned so many interesting facts about horses and the history of Kentucky. In addition to all the information we learned, we got to get up close & personal to horses on the track at Keeneland. Also, At Old Friends you get to love on and feed carrots to retired racehorses. Best way to spend the morning, highly recommend this tour!!”

“My family and I have stored our boat at Yacht Club Drive Marina since the day we bought out boat! Honestly it is one of the best decisions we have ever made! We live in Miami, and if you know anything about Miami marinas, you know how crazy they can be. Yacht Club Drive marina is the best marina! The marina is super safe. We have left our boat there with many valuables and never ONCE have we ever had an issue or anything missing from our boat! The marina and the bait shop is 24 hours. The storage pricing is incredible! But the best thing and the real reason we love this marina is the people who run it! Ramiro and Tod! These two gentlemen are the nicest, most dedicated people we have ever met! They are super kind, respectful to all the clients, always always willing to lend a hand, and they care about the place as if it was their own. We have shown up at all hours - 2 am, 3 am, all hours; and every single time we show up and call them, they are there with the same happy and willing attitude! The unique A frame design makes for a unique experience, especially with the fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor patio. “We had a fantastic time staying for 5 days at Lago Linda Hideaway! Most campgrounds in the area are first come first served, but our group had seven people with 3-4 vehicles and a travel trailer coming from three different states on a holiday weekend so we preferred to reserve our sites to assure we could be close together. Unfortunately, a turn in the weather caused a few people in our group to cancel, but despite the weather, the remaining members of our group had a great time hanging out at camp and driving into Red River Gorge to climb and hike. The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. We were able to switch sites easily (and we reimbursed the difference) since we had a smaller group. The cafe/store had ice cream, water, snacks, ice, firewood and served meals at a reasonable price. We used the Shakeout Shack and pavilion quite a bit to cook, play board games and hide from the rain. We also took advantage of the laundry room to wash our wet clothes after getting drenched, but when the clouds cleared there was plenty to keep us occupied right at camp. We brought our inflatable paddle boards but it was a haul for us to bring them down the slope to the lake. If staying at one of the lakeside cabins, we definitely would have taken the time to use them. Instead, a couple from our group borrowed kayaks available for use at the dock. On Saturday night we ate food we bought at the cafe and listened to live music on the deck. The showers and restrooms were decent but I think it would be a bonus to have another restroom or pit toilets near sites #1, 2 and 3, because it's a long walk to the bathhouses. I definitely recommend this campground to anyone visiting the Red River Gorge or even just wanting a nice retreat from home.”

“Camp A Way Campground is our 128th stop and we stayed for 7 days. Very convenient to I80 and 180 and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Check in was quick and the staff was personable/professional and we were escorted to our site. Chose a patio site (smoker, fire pit, patio furniture, swing and extra landscaping) - our site was huge! Speaking of huge, the dog park was one of the biggest we have run across in our travel and had nice grass. The park is kept very clean as was the laundry room. There are very mature trees throughout the park which provide excellent shade on the warm days. In terms of road noise, there is some but hardly noticeable inside. If you have kids, this place would be excellent given all the activities they have available. All in all, would rate this park a 4.5 and would definitely stay here again in the future. Connectivity (2:30 pm): Verizon 241.0 down/26.8 up; T-Mobile 71.8 down/3.89 up; Camp WiFi 70.0 down/42.7 up and was excellent throughout our stay.”

“It’s been over 2 weeks since our stay and I’m still in awe of how perfect this resort was for our very large extended family! And I mean RESORT! Upon entering the wooden gate, you step into a breathtaking garden full of Florida natives that leads to the main house to the right or the path down to the tennis court. Be sure not to let the tree swing distract you on your way! The house is large, has very tall ceilings, and is perfect for entertaining with a kitchen that has a peninsula where people can gather while also open to one of the two large living areas. The dining room has an oversized dining table and buffet with lots of natural light coming in from a window that takes up an entire wall! There are so many great features inside the house but the outdoor ones are also incredible. The wrap around porch overlooks the property and the views are amazing, reminiscent of being up in a tree house. When we weren’t swimming in what looked to be a brand new pool and heated spa, we played tennis on a beautifully maintained clay court while family watched courtside at an outdoor table complete with the biggest umbrella I’ve even seen. (There is another one next to the pool, as well as a fire pit). We also took out the kayaks (one person, single, and doubles) and within two minutes down a canal, you’re in the intercoastal waters and a nearby sandbar where you can get out and play as the water gets really shallow! I only have so much time to write down everything that I LOVED about this truly Personal Resort but words do not do this place justice!! It is a must see for yourself kind of paradise!!
