“I loved my weekend at Prairie Hill haven There were not many houses around so it was peaceful And quiet it had so much charm There was so much room to spread out and A nice deck to sit on and look out at the pond And it was so incredibly clean. I didn't want to leave! I wish we had been there a bit earlier in the season the fireplace would have been wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough!”

Rates are competitive and better that direct bookings. Their agents have been more than accommodating even in a certain situation when I had to make 3 cancellations during a trip to India. “Rock Creek Park Horse Center is an oasis within the city. Deep in Rock Creek Park is a property full of stables and fields. There are 57 horses in the stable. Half are private, but the other half are used for the public. They offer riding lessons and on weekends they have pony rides for kids as young as 2.5 years old. If you're hiking by, you can enter the public stables to see the horses and ponies. You can't pet the horses, but the staff are so friendly and will give you the story of each horse. Once you see the horses, I recommend hiking through Rock Creek Park and visit the nearby Capitol Stones.”

“The beach is beautiful!! Warm water, lots of wind. You have to bring everything here everything you need: food, water, toys, medicine if you need because there is nothing here and things are like 25 minutes away. You have to pay $10 to get in for the day.They have restrooms,and outside showers. You can fish here too. We didn't go inside the visitor center. There is an area with picnic tables and is covered so there is a nice shade there. It was worth the drive!!”
