Good views, good street snacks and drinks . Lots of homeless people milling around . Not kid friendly in my opinion
Seeing the place is kind of a hard experience, a lot of people on the Mexican side, none at the other beside some border patrol, on the Mexican side you can see some paints, people preaching & others having fun like in any other beach.
Lots of written massages of Hope.
So close and so far, that's what went through my mind.
On a nice sunny day, this place is absolute list of your things to do while in Tijuana. The scene at the wall on the north end of the beach can sometimes be a surprise depending on what's happening since there are various events/crowds that usually showed up at any given moment. This however won't stop you from enjoying your day as the stretch of walkway is a mile long and there are a few options of restaurants for you to drop in and eat your heart out. If it's hot! Grab yourself an official Michaela and yes the one made with the ceramic cup! If the restaurant isn't so much of your thing and you just want to walk it out because it's a beautiful day. No issues! You can grab a fresh made coconut juice and a few skewers if you so desire. On Sundays, there showcases in the middle where they have a live show for everyone. You even have cute little kids hustling with their skewers. I usually try to skip them depending on their behavior. I don't need to see a kid with a bunch of shrimp skewers on one hand and wiping his snot with his other. Big turn off and this is what i generally try to avoid.
This is the place where you will feel guilty for your privileges. At least you should feel some remorse of being in the "corner of Mexico" knowing that elsewhere in the border or in the way north someone is suffering the hardship of migration. This place should remind you of all that while you see the contrasting efforts made to let you forget there is even a border there.
