(August 12, 2022, 12:39 am)I visited Pepper Cat for my anniversary last month and both the service and food were excellent! I ordered the Pan Seared Market Catch which was tilapia, and it was seasoned and seared very beautifully! The smashed potatoes were nicely crisp and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The ambiance in the room was nice as well, a great place for a fancy night out $$$
(August 9, 2022, 8:52 pm)What an incredible experience! Waitstaff we’re friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, the restaurant was clean, comfortable and inviting. We ordered the a bottle of wine, grilled octopus and the tomahawk steak. Everything was excellent. The steak was cooked medium rare and perfectly done. The béarnaise and chimichanga sauce were house made and delicious. Also, the garlic mash, smashed redskin potatoes and side vegetables were cooked to perfection. We decided to sit on the patio and enjoy the view of Dalhousie street. What a wonderful dinner experience.

(July 4, 2022, 8:15 pm)First time at the Pepper Cat, we've been to the Salty Dog many times.
The atmosphere is more upscale and is more tailored to couples on an evening out.
We chose the upper level and had a fantastic waitress take care of us. Full of energy and happy to be there taking care of us.
We were with another couple and chose the warm herbed focaccia loaf and watermelon salad as appetizers. For the entrees we decided on the tomahawk steak dinner for two for us guys and the girls each got chicken Lafontaine.
The meals were fantastic. We all tried a bit of each other's meal. The accompaniments we're also excellent and they all went well with the drinks we chose.
Everyone there was happy and had a good sense of humour which adds to the overall evening.
A great place to have a dinner with good friends or just your significant other and then a nice stroll in the historic and beautiful downtown Amherstburg.
We'll be back!!
(September 26, 2021, 7:41 pm)Great place to have a high quality meal. Not a lot of vegetarian options on the menu. They didn't have cashews in the vegan bowl as listed on the menu but overall a good experience. Portion sizes are on the smaller size for the price but food tasted good. Drinks were great and service was wonderful.
