Bliss Haven Retreats

Amazing location for full filled get together, for families may be a little different to get accustomed but eventually they will once they get a hang of it. Host Dolly was very kind and accommodative. Couldn’t get to have much of outdoor activities as it was pouring during our stay, overall different atmosphere compared to city world. Great beaches nearby to visit.

Overall this is a nice facility, I attended with one other person for a retreat. It is surrounded by lots of greenery. Dolly is a pleasant host and takes the time to make home cooked, mostly vegetarian meals. Breakfast was a smoothie. Rockpoint was my favourite nearby attraction, with trails and a beach.
There is some room for improvement being that the grass was not cut so when we walked through the grass and in the forest, the weeds were there and our feet were soaked after just half an hour. I really enjoy going on 90 min walks so this was disappointing. The hot water pipe in the main house was broken so I showered in the guest house, a five min walk from the main house and where the host was staying. In the guest house, the shower head would come on 2 mins and go off 2 mins which was inconvenient. Finally, we originally intended the retreat to be a quiet, personal retreat. Nevertheless, we enjoyed speaking with Dolly and her friends, who accompanied us into the town both days we were there, and spent the meal times with us, so we would consider the time spent much more social than a quiet retreat. This is up to a personal preference, but I mentioned it because if you are intending for a quiet, private retreat, it may be a bit of a challenge. If the price were reduced from 175 per person per day, it may be worth it to return.

Response to owner: Thank you for your response Dolly. The guest house would have been okay if the shower there was properly working but it was not. Even still, we should have been offered a discount for all the issues encountered (including having to walk to the guest house for the shower) as it took away from the relaxation of the experience. The price given all the inconveniences is too high. You may want to reconsider renting it to just 2 people as I would have had no way of knowing these rather basic things would not be taken care of due to high costs.

I hosted my business group here for a weekend earlier this spring and everyone greatly enjoyed it. Dolly and her team were incredibly accommodating and it was a very unique venue! She also co-ordinated having yoga instructors in between our sessions.

Amazing place ! Really quiet, recommend for anyone trying to relax and enjoy the nature.
