Cave Springs Conservation Area

This place was amazing! Beautiful landscape and a spectacular overlooking view of Lake Ontario and the vineyard. Lots of trail to explore and the cliff was really a blast to see how it was formed. Come and enjoy your day.

A wonderful little overlooked conversation area. The real treasure here is the absolutely stunning views from the Bruce Trail (head up the escarpment and turn right onto the Bruce Trail). This part of the escarpment features some dramatic vistas in an area that doesn't have too much traffic. There was a lot of wildlife too. I saw five turkey vultures up in a tree and no less than seven garter snakes over the course of my day in the area (lots of baby snakes out sunning themselves on the trail - it's that time of year!)

Was a great place to go hiking! I really enjoyed the scenery and the sunset through the trees!

Loved our short walk around this conservation area. Beautiful fall foliage especially near the barn and farmhouse. Next time, we’ll try to do the climb up to the Bruce Trail section to enjoy the view of Toronto’s skyline.

Trails are pretty good here. Parts are closed currently due to covid. Climb can be icy so be sure to wear your crampons. Lovely view at the top. Generally flat except for the climb up which is great for an intermediate to easy hike. Parking is right at the trail head and lots of history to see with the old farm house near the start. Plenty to explore, hmmmmmm where is the spring?
