Lecso Hungarian Fast Food

The best: the food and variety. Delicious food, tastes like home made. It is self service and there is a good variety of starters, soups (you will find goulash for sure), main dishes (beef, chicken, fish), side dishes (rice, baked potatoes, boiled veggies), desserts (pancakes, and small cakes are in the fridge) and to drink (beer, water, sodas, can juices). The girl will put a big portion of it, so be prepared. The price will be based on the amount of dishes you ordered but anyway is super cheap. I went twice, the first time I paid 13€ for a soup, a main dish and water and the second time I paid 9€ for just a main dish with water. They have 2 floors, the environment is quite cozy but not for staying that long. The service is kind of nice, they speak English and explain you the dishes. I fall in love with the food 😍.

A very traditional restaurant where you can try Hungarian food for a reasonable price.
The place is cozy and the attention was really nice. Our waitress was friendly, patient and even gave us recommendations on what to order; they also had an excellent playlist which made the atmosphere more special.
As for the food, it was good. I tried the mixed plate Budapest style (which has chicken, pork and deer) and everything was tasty and well-seasoned. The deer was incredibly tender.
The desserts we tried were amazing (especially the walnut purée) but huge; we couldn't finish them.
I would visit this restaurant again.

To be honest, this restaurant is one of few restaurants which offer food for fair price. Until 7 pm it works as a bistro, after 7 pm as a restaurant. I felt very comfortable there, the staff was very friendly. But I must say, that the classic burger I ordered was a bit burnt on the bun (as you can see on the photo), and you could taste it, co that was a pity.

Perfect place to experience authentic Hungarian food. The owner was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu. The staff was very professional and service was tip-top. A must visit restaurant for any visitors to Budapest. Enjoy!
