  Not sure where to start. Marty and her ranch are an experience of a lifetime. She's so welcoming and warm. Her love shines through in her horses. The group I brought out had the best time. We will be back. We highly highly highly recommend booking your ride down in the Baja by horse.

  We had the most amazing experience this past weekend! Marty is a wonderful host and Jesus and Antonio were the best hands down in the way of support both on the ground and on the rides. Marty has a little bit of paradise that she lives to share. We happened to come when the flowers were all in bloom after all of the rain. It was so beautiful. Her horses are beautiful and are so lived and lucky to live on this ranch. Oh what a life they have!! Our little group of horse women went on a few different rides, including a cattle drive to bring 55 of her cattle home. It was all just the best experience! I highly recommend this for anyone - experienced riders or newbies. Marty can accommodate it all!

  Nestled at the foot of the hill under a blanket of trees is located the Lima ranch. Six beautiful horses were saddled waiting for us. We were a group of four, led by Marty and Jesus a vaquero (cowboy). One can tell instantly that the horses are fed properly and well taken care of — they are truly loved! The ride was absolutely spectacular with views as far as the eye can see. The timing was perfect to see a symphony of yellow poppy flowers covering patches of the ground in all their splendour. There were a multitude of other plants to discover like wild rosemary, sage etc. Marty and Jesus were very attentive to each of our needs while simultaneously sharing their knowledge of the land and animals. The local lunch was the perfect way of ending this extraordinary adventure. Last but not least Marty took photos throughout our ride leaving us with wonderful memories to share with family and friends.

  Marty and Rancho La Pila always deliver! This weekend was my 3rd ride with Marty. I brought a large group with me and they couldn’t have been more pleased with their experience. Marty is warm and super fun. The ride is beautiful. The animals are healthy and happy. Marty makes you feel like family. This is a special experience. Don’t miss out.

  Wow, what an incredible ride with Marty, Yulia, Jesus, and Antonio. The horses were great, well cared for and well behaved, and the owner and ranch hands were all kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We did a 2 hour ranch ride and loved every minute of it! We even saw some cattle. We had three riders in our party, one newbie, one intermediate, and one experienced. They were able to accommodate us with the right horses and experience. They also did a great job taking photos, allowing us to enjoy our time and not worry about capturing the moment. To top it all off, after the ride we enjoyed a relaxing lunch with cold beer and delicious carnitas! Thank you Marty and crew for your time and hospitality. We highly recommend Baja By Horse and can’t wait to go back!

Marty had a broken collarbone and was not able to accompany us, but three of her cowboys escorted us. The ride was beautiful and the horses appeared very well-cared for.
