Wonderful people and so helpful! I’m a balcony “bird feeder” and squirrels can be a pest! I normally put out safflower seed to help deter them. I ran out of it and put in sunflower chips in my my feeders and while I got the goldfinches and such, the squirrels loved as well 😔. But I visited for the first time a week ago and got a finch feeder and nyjer seed, as well as non big box store of safflower seed! Couldn’t be happier. The gold finches found their feeder within 24 hrs, after a 2 week absence! And the owner assured me that squirrels are not a fan of nyjer seed as well! So far so good! They try to climb up my balcony and they don’t stay long 🥰! I can tell by lack of squirrel droppings and less activity trying to poach the birdies food!
