The childbirth preparation course delivered by Karen was very insightful, complete, allowed us to view all the pros and cons of many of the situations that may arise, and feel prepared for what is to come. Karen is very knowledgeable on every subject, including on the current practices in the Netherlands, as well as in other countries.
Karen gives a very detailed course, answers all the questions you may have and provides additional reading material.
She also ensures the group of future parents schedules some social time together, to get to know each other better and share experiences. We highly recommend her course.

My partner and I had a wonderful experience with Karen from Bump and Beyond doing the antenatal classes. Karen has a very calm and gentle approach to pregnancy and birth and we found this very reassuring. She's up to date with a vast range of birthing techniques and options available in the Netherlands and she's very generous with her time and knowledge. The course mostly focused on preparation for birth/labour, but there was always time to ask many questions connected to pregnancy and babies in general. A bonus was getting to do the course with other couples going through the same thing.

Karen's child birthing class was the best preparation we could possibly have to understand the ins and outs of the Dutch midwifery system. Karen helped us to create a realistic birth plan fit for the most common challenges. The classes were great to meet other couples embarking on the same journey. After birth we also attended Karen's baby massage classes which were perfect to learn about relaxation techniques and to meet other moms and babies. Highly recommend Bump and Beyond to any mom and dad to be.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bump&Beyond. Karen has a wealth of knowledge (24 years experience in Netherlands and UK) and believes in empowering Women to make informed choices during labour. She never comes across as preachy and instead simply presents the Pros and Cons of different forms of pain relief, interventions, and taught us how to advocate for ourselves in the Dutch medical system. An added bonus was that during this course we met other couples who are also about to give birth. Even though we are ex-pats and most of our support network is abroad, we are grateful to have a small group of friends who are going through the same experience.

My partner and I did the one day birthing class with Karen. This was a wonderful way for us to consider what type of birth we wanted for our child. Karen is very knowledgeable about all aspects of birthing. For us in our situation, with some complications, what was super helpful was having her insight on the Dutch system and her expertise on how to navigate this.
