My experience with Koentact has been nothing but positive so far. A lovely group of people who truly care about teaching Dutch and doing it in a way that is engaging and fun. The classes are immersive and I learned a lot in my initial class and felt like all of us came out with a great base for future learning. My instructor, Nina, was wonderful. She did a great job of teaching us what we needed to know while also making the class fun - by the end it felt like we were all friends and Nina was super invested in her students. Big fan and would definitely recommend.
Annemijn was a great teacher! Wonderful grammar / spelling explanations, and she pushed us to have conversations with each other in Dutch. I really recommend the evening courses. I now feel much more comfortable ordering food and having certain interactions only in Dutch. :)
As a school they do a great job and have incredibly nice teachers who all do a fantastic job.
I have to say the thing that sold it for me is their bi-monthly field trips. For 3 hours we spoke a huge amount of Dutch and the exercises they gave us really cemented everything I’d learned and made me feel much more confident speaking. If you do sign up to Koentact I fully recommend taking advantage of the Field Trips.
This was my second Dutch class and my first class with Koentact. I was very impressed from start to finish. Communication and intake process was quick and thorough. Bo is an excellent instructor -- positive, encouraging, patient, and fun. I'm looking forward to more Koentact classes in the future.
Koentact is one of the best Dutch schools I've found in the Netherlands and the value is incredible. They provide an immersive environment to learn Dutch in small groups, and the teachers are all younger professionals who are qualified to teach the language, rather than are just native speakers. A unique aspect of the classes are the field trips that are held over two Saturdays and that allow you an opportunity to get out of the classroom and use the Dutch you've been learning in every day situations (plus learn about the history and social customs of the Netherlands). I'm currently enrolled in the advanced Dutch classes, and I recommend Koentact 100%!
