The vibe was great. Staff were doing their best, it was a great atmosphere mix with families, couples, kids and coworkers.
Abit pricey but good food.
Thank you guys for making my birthday great 🥂
*the cake was from us, but you pay for the plate like 4€ per person!
The atmosphere and wine selection were the highlights of my meal. We went as a group of 7. The other couple absolutely loved their meal.
They had the steak and and lamb for 2.
My family had the steak (his was over cooked), tuna, and the ravioli.
Pros:
The lamb was the star of the show.
Everything is presented beautifully.
Beautiful setting
Cons:
One steak was over cooked while the other was not
I had to ask for my wine 3 times before I received it. The rest of my table received their second drink before I received my first.
We visited the restaurant last week while visiting in Amsterdam. The design is very impresive and the food and service are not lacking behind. Super recommended: starters: the ravioli dishes, both of them. Take the big portions, it will be gone in no time. Main: the meat meal for 2, was absolutely amazing. Just note that the main is not coming with a side dish other than a small salad. Might be worth to order separately.
Wonderful and affordable food at De Plantage. We sat down after visiting Artis Zoo next door, only 1 minute walk! The food here is tasty and high quality with reasonable prices. The ravioli was especially good to me. Pet and child friendly place with a nice interior here as well.
Beautiful interior, high ceilings, loved the light because of all the windows. Would definitely recommend the ravioli. The artichoke/ ricotta dip with pita was also very nice. If your visiting artis zoo or a museum close by I would for sure make a reservation here for a nice break. Only minor is that you pay 1€ for tap water, something I find strange in a country where tap water is free for everyone
