There were SO many varieties of cheeses to choose from. The cashier was knowledgeable on cheese recommendations and even let you try some! The prices were also pretty reasonable. A lot of cheeses are packed in a vacuum sealed bag, which is perfect to bring back home if you don't live in Amsterdam like myself.
A great place to check out if you are visiting Amsterdam!
We wanted some cheese as a souvenir in the city and passed by De Kaaskamer near our hotel. The shop staff were extremely nice and helpful, offered tastings of several ones we were interested in and went out of the way to vacuum pack our cheeses for travel. Cheeses were excellent too, highly recommend this shop. Family oriented vibe.
Very nice little shop with lots of different cheeses, especially recommend the Gouda (the older ones), which you can try before buying
Many cheese variants, excellent prices, nice employees who will help you find the right cheese for your taste and explain things to you.
Beautiful little shop with an absolutely beautiful selection of fine cheeses, meats, olives, ect. I always get a ham and cheese baguette to go - literally the best sandwich I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly! As you round the corner onto this block you are greeted with the smell of delectable cheeses goodness. Step foot inside and treat your senses to an experience they won’t forget. You can sample the cheeses and everything is cut fresh to order. This local spot is a favorite of mine and you absolutely need to add this to your must-try list!
