This is now 3rd time we are renting the boat from Mokum. I absolutely recommend this experience to everyone, always smooth and pleasant. And it is much more fun than regular tourist boats.
You do not need a license, it is very easy to use the boat. They have cushions on the boat, but if you want extra comfort - bring your own.

very easy booking system, very very helpful and nice service at the point! The boats are solid and easy to navigate. deposit returned quickly. I definitely recommend it. it's the best €100 spent in Amsterdam!

Make sure to book a boat in advance — we tried to get one on the weekend but they were booked on every station.
We spent an incredible 3 hours Wednesday evening riding around the canals — make sure you’re familiar with rules of the road as the traffic is CRAZY there.
