Xurreria Laietana

The churros are made fresh, very crispy and delicious. The chocolate sauce it came with was rich and not too sweet. The service was fast and great price for churros. Was a bit confused on why takeout was more expensive than dine-in but overall was a good price.

This was across the street from our hotel. We saw a bunch of young Sg tourists standing in the middle of the (large) pavement sharing the snack and so we walked up to ask if these churros were any good. They absolutely recommended it and they weren’t wrong! They said the chocolate dip is a must and they weren’t wrong about that either. Hahahah.

The chocolate dip was rich and thicker in consistency. Oh the churros were freshly fried with fresh dough and so it was yum at max percent. Crunchy yet soft on the inside. We asked for sugar on ours and it was perfect though the locals before us seemed to prefer it plain. It was 4.20euro for the set of 6 with chocolate dip. I think it’s cheaper on its own but hey I’m on holiday and if fellow citizen recommended the chocolate dip with such Ernest expressions (both the ladies and the guy), I will take their word for it and wasn’t disappointed in anyway.

The Q looked long but it moved fast. Didn’t really see the interior. They had high stools but tight spacing. Take away is the best.

Went past several Xurrerias to try this establishment and like many places, they adhere to the siesta timings.

Beautifully decadent hot chocolate but for me the star of the show is the Porras. That slightly salty, crispy on the outside soft on the inside fried dough stick, dipped into the hot chocolate where it soaks all that liquid Cocoa is just formidable (French use of the word)

Very small but charming place. Very busy when I went but not a problem. Very good service. hot chocolate and hot Porras served very quickly.

Excellent Churros/Parros and Chocolate. Nice flavour profile, not too sweet or salty even without chocolate. No burnt oil smell.

If you came close to 1pm, it's takeout only.

I stumbled upon this store and enjoyed the best churros I have ever had. The newly fried crispy churros dipped in rich but not so sweet chocolate is just heavenly. And the price is reasonable in the heart of Barcelona.

Trying in store is highly recommended so that you can enjoy all the atmosphere of the place.
