(August 14, 2018, 4:53 pm)Interesting historical building, with access to the Riverside path and an easy walk to Tilbury village. The fort formed a vital part of the defense of the Thames during WW2. The fort is open to visitors one day each month. The old engine room is now a cafe open most days.
