(January 11, 2018, 7:34 am)One of the Best Memorials in the UK; an Excellent Remembrance for of All Those Who Served 1916-1964 at Royal Airforce Station North Weald.
This Memorial was dedicated on Sunday 3rd September 2000; there are 222 names on this memorial but clearly this memorial represents the entire Second World War (including service before & after) and those who flew at Royal Air Force Station North Weald.
There is a stainglass window in the museum which depicts pilots and is also a very respectful tribute to our airmen & airwomen.
My personal score for this Memorial is 10/10 & I also award the North Weald Aerodrome Memorial my Gold Star for Excellence.
