Good day here. Plenty of places to see the birds. Boarding can be slippy where is no chicken wire down. Nice centre and loos. Very good mix of wildfowl small birds and both peregrine and marsh harrier.
Lovely walk around the reserve. Hides are very posh and loos available also half way through. Last day in November, wigeon and pintail ducks were very close to the hide closest to information centre.
Has a Silver star rated cafe, so very sustainable, organic and local produce used. That aside, has a great selection on the menu. The Rocky Road cake I had during my visit was yummy. For Bird Watching, there are a couple of hides built into the walk. It's a very popular area for bird watchers. There's also a great bouldering area for children with climbing area and sand pit.
We stopped off on our way home from Suffolk. It is a small nature reserve surrounded by roads and industry. The reserve itself is well marked out, with 4 hides. A very nice cafe. Worth a visit
