  Proper pub, properly run, with a proper landlady and (a wide choice) of proper food, served on tables with proper tablecloths - even at lunchtime. First choice whenever passing near Chelmsford. ????

  Went in for a curry night. Very nice staff very nice too. Have Booked for xmas dinner.

  Lovely quaint traditional pub and a fantastic Sunday lunch. The staff are extremely welcoming and very friendly.they couldn't do enough to help us and my children on Sunday. The food is very good and portion size is excellent a really great family run business that I wish there were more of.

  Had a lovely three course meal for my boyfriend's Dads Birthday. Service was very good to. Would defiantly recommend it to family & friends. ????????
