This place is great for getting some fresh air and a walk through the woods, It’s very nice if you want to have a walk around the lake as well. There are some great things that you can do while you’re there if you take some sports equipment, like football, frisbee and rounders. There is a park that recently opened, (recently as in 2 or 3 months ago,) that is suitable for children of all ages. The park has a tilted roundabout, a extra large swing that has space for up to 5 children to sit on (roughly), a few slides that are next to each other (they are shaped to look like chairs), a climbing frame that is in a sand pit which is more suitable for the larger children, another climbing frame with a coiled slide and another swing (that goes round instead of up and down). If you finish your walk before 4 o’clock there’s a place at the car park that does refreshments, so bear that in mind during your walk if you want to get back in time for an ice cream before it closes. If you are looking for a good place to have a walk in the woods, this is a great place to go. Thank you for reading my review.
Wonderful space for all. Well maintained woods and a fantastic wooden play area. Sand gravel and musical elements meant loads of imaginative play and everyone seems very conscientious about cleaning up after themselves and their doggos. Sweet little cafe as well.
New wooden play area with musical instruments. Grandchildren loved it. Good toilets and cafe. Car parking is ridiculously overpriced at £2.20 for one hour. I was thinking of walking my new dog there but will not pay that fee for a dog walk.
Great fun for the kids! There is a huge area of woodland to explore, a lake, a visitor centre and the main attraction.... a newly installed children's play area. This is so well made and boasts equipment suitable from toddler to teen. You have to pay for the car park, which can either be paid by coins or card at the designated machines. The price to park maybe a bit more than some. But still not too shocking. Definitely worth a try!
