Lovely place for a nice walk with family or friends. Beautiful trees , plants and flowers.
Near a car park in Richmond park with a cafe nearby, if it’s a sunny day, it’s absolutely perfect place to go.
A beautifully curated woodland in the middle of Richmond Park. Their are many stunning trees, shrubs, plants and fungi within this enclosed area of the park. There is a couple ponds with a little brook between them. Pathways and bridges meander through the space, it is easy to while away an afternoon here.
There are toilets within the plantation when you need to go as you are a good 10 minutes from any other nearby loos.
Had a wonderful lunch, with my wife. Delicious and interesting food with wonderful service. Highly recommended but DO book ahead if you want to eat in the dining area as opposed to the cafe/coffee area as it is usually busy, especially on the weekends. Parking is slightly awkward but didn't sour my experience. Lovely afternoon all round.
This park is awesome great place to relax and have a walk. Its not too busy and open for the same hours as Richmond Park as its located in the middle of the Park, Has toilets dotted around the plantation with lots of flowers and greenery and wildlife to watch and three ponds and streams all he way around. It is disabled friendly too with plenty of disabled parking spaces next to the plantation for disable blue badge holders around 20-30 spaces and a community bus goes there too. Worth a visit.
I went with my mum at the very beginning of summer. It's the most beautiful place ever, so well maintained and vibrant. It is very busy and all the benches around were taken so you may want to go early in the day if you wanted it a big quieter.
They have tours or you can go for a wander alone. The car park right by is for blue badges only but there is another car park about a 10-15minute walk away.
