(October 9, 2018, 5:26 pm)Excellent value for money here - I chanced across this place a couple of years back as it's located about 10 meters from the main road; they were offering a lunchtime special of fish & chips w/ drink for £3.80 and this was written on a sandwich board on the main road. I ordered this meal and really enjoyed the meal when I got home, very good value for money and tasted superb - there are other special offers, not just fish, including saveloys, burgers and chicken. Even now, if I'm feeling peckish, I will go to Claylands for some food and would recommend it w/o hesitation - current offer is a free chips on Tuesday w/ any fish purchase!

(January 13, 2018, 3:58 am)This place may not look flashy but they do a very good fish and chips. Prices are in the £6-7 mark for a decent portion. The fish is good quality, the batter could perhaps be a tiny bit crispier, but overall it's decent chippie and probably the best in Oval.
