Both wolfed down - a nice sandwich is a nice sandwich you might think - but for the cool presentation, and intersting range of ingredients, the Birdhouse boys score top marks. Birdhouse 123 St John's Hill, SW11 1SZ, T: 020 7228 6663 We'd heard a lot about this cosy café but nearly missed it on our trek up St John's Hill. It was worth the walk though: superb coffee in stylish surroundings. The décor is gun-metal grey teamed with sunshine yellow.
