Lovely well kept park beautiful scenery and some great walks . Ample parking .lots of nice green grass for family picnics... How ever the gentleman ..NO hold on the man who runs the cafeteria is very very rude and borders on pure ignorance ..on several occasions he just can t seem to be bothered and as if he is doing you a favour..the last incident was my partner just had major surgery..And hobbled up to buy a coffee. After hobbling back ..she had no sugar..so she hobbled back to ask for some he was very rude and said you need to go next door and get it your self another hobble next door
Where she was told.. we don't give out sugar go next door...
Then a very kind gentleman customer offered to go get some..
The cafe really does need addressing and some staff with some customer care skills
Nasty man.
The children absolutely love walking through this forest as it's vast and spacious trails are met with happy and relaxed individuals who at times greet one another. A lovely place to visit. Has a cafe that's small but busy with clearly happy customers. Could do with a better variety of farm animals, however.
My kids Love this country park especially the pond with very hungry swans ducks. We have actually brought a 25kg bag of swan pallet food for them to feed the water wildlife. After feeding we usually go for a long walk into the woods and then a stop of at the café for refreshment before we head home.
Great forest to walk the dog. Also a nice little farm for the young ones.
Pay for parking £1 for 1 hour. Must be done by phone or Internet. No cash.
Please don't let this place become run down. Really enjoy it here and love there is a free farm. Keep some things nice!
I also like the pond with ducks and geese, I like the hidden wooden climbing area behind the pond, kept tidy, and just a good place to go. Paying for parking is easier by new app too. Please don't let this place get forgotten! Xx
Hainault Forest Country Park. Closed. The country park itself is huge w It's plenty of trails for bike rides and walks. Within the park is little cafe serving burgers, chips, baguettes etc, with toilets close by. The big attraction here is the boating lake where you can hire during spring and summer, and Foxburrows Farm.
At the same time it provides an opportunity revaluate the specific demands placed on the lake at Hainault Forest Country Park. As quoted by Hainault Forest Country Park Manager FishAdviser - Hainault Forest Country Park, Romford Rd, Chigwell IG7 4QL
