(August 11, 2018, 4:59 am)Cozy country pub with a French restaurant. The setting is close to the motorway so traffic noise is a problem if you sit outside. Inside is Quaint & Cozy, one side is a pub with tables & food can be ordered from a bar menu but the best is in the restaurant. It's advisable to book a table as it looks popular. We ordered the tasting menu that was 5/6 course & can include wine with each course if you wanted. There was plenty of food for the biggest appetite, starting with 2 appetizers that were just enough to prepare you for the main dish of beef cheek that was amazingly tender & plentiful, this was followed by 2 beautiful desserts. Absolutely no room for cheese but it's there if you wanted. The staff were friendly & attentive & near by if you needed anything, we didn't it was all just perfect. Well done to the Landlord & Staff at The Waggoner, we will be returning.
