Staying at the Tewin bury farm for one night through a Groupon deal, wished we booked two but used the time productively by walking first by the river then up between the fields to the church. Even the sheep came to greet us, the lambing season seems early here. The church is obviously very old judging by the almost smooth grave stones and the leaded widows. A great deal of history here and in the surrounding woodland.KS
You may need to walk along the unlit village road for a little way before you get to the driveway to the church, but it's well worth it and as you approach from the village you get a hint of the significance of the location, being high up, as opposed to flat in the way it feels as you walk along the driveway. The village is reached by country roads, one way these are wooded, but they are well made and in good condition so getting to the church is quite easy even in winter months.
