“I have been taking jazz and blues piano lessons with Richard at Wheathampstead Music since the beginning of the year. We’ve been following Richard’s basic 12 bar blues course, together with learning some jazz standards which I have suggested. Richard is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and incredibly patient, explaining the theory and answering all my questions. I also appreciate the technology that Richard uses, allowing me to play in a band environment, both in the studio and at home. My playing has progressed greatly since I started with Richard and I would recommend him to anyone considering learning the piano, especially anyone interested in jazz or blues styles.”

“My daughter started at the nursery when she was 9 months old and is now in her final pre-school year. Both she and I and now my son love it. The nursery has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are amazing! there is a genuine warmth for the children in their care. It's a very nurturing environment and the children are encouraged to become independent thinkers. The nursery take full advantage of its fantastic location and the children are taken outside at least twice a day. I cannot recommend Ladybirds enough.”

“My daughter is due to graduate this July and I am dreading the day she does. I wish she could stay at Mount Carmel forever! My daughter was at a very good nursery but there is no comparison to Mount Carmel. The small groups mean that the teachers really get to know the children and care about them not just for them. I have seen my daughters confidence grow and she is already ahead of her age with her writing skills and is ready for school. The grounds are wonderful and this offers children a traditional setting that allows children to be themselves. Every day is different and being a family run business, the children feel part of the family too. I am so glad my youngest is starting in September, I am so excited for her.”

“Finding Matt has been a revelation to my game. I have always been bogged down with the technical side of my game because of previous coaches telling me different things. Matt will bring you outside on the course and range and get you some "realtime feedback" but more importantly make you love the game again. It's important to remember Matt is a coach not a teacher which I found for my game was a whole lot different. Matt cares about how you play on a Saturday against your mates or in stableford not can I turn this 'draw into a fade'. Matt is a lovely man, very calm and his teaching style makes you pick up things a whole lot quicker. His hub has all the mod cons for the winter months but in summer months you get to play a private member's club for a couple of holes for the price of a lesson so what's not to love? Please just book yourself into a lesson and thank me later. Thank you Matt for everything you have done for me so far. Side Note: Very reasonably priced for the quality of service you receive.”

“I am hearing from the school and parents, so many positive things about Sherrardswood. They really offer a happy environment to allow all children to achieve high grades. I would definitely recommend you visit this school and sending your child there. They offer small classes with dedicated & passionate teachers. With such small classes the teachers really get to know the pupils and can tailor the lessons to them. They call it "differentiate". They have a very strong learning support department. Pupils who need extra support are offered help from highly trained staff using the best known resources. The grounds & environment is wonderful. I am so positive about them because my son will be going there. --- Update a few years later.....My son is enjoying life at this school. The events, trips and learning experience is fantastic. He has learnt loads about being an independant learner and has already been using these skills to work at home on his own projects. —— Another update Nov18 My son is gifted & talented and gets extra support. He is stretched and challenged in his gifted subject. The teaching here has made him really love and enjoy this subject even more. They are many other gifted children here at the school. I have found the teachers to be approachable and easy to get in contact with on any given request or information. The school has homework club everyday after school. The grounds here are beautifully kept. New bedding flowers planted in spring & autumn. Large yew hedges cut to shape. The school is surrounded in nature with rolling fields all around. Our family has attended a number of PTA events which include quiz night & fireworks night.”
