(February 3, 2018, 12:21 pm)What a wonderful weekend! The accommodation is lovely, and the food and drink is superb - and generous. The course approach is professional but gentle: it's completely bespoke to your level, but without the pressure of performance. The course tutor was excellent. You quickly become friends with the other people on the course and that makes every meal and coffee break a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. Harriett and Neil are superb hosts, and you feel truly at home in their exquisite house. I have no hesitation in recommending this course!

and it was honestly such a fantastic experience. I hadn't played for years, so I was a little apprehensive about performing in front of a group, but it was such a sociable, supportive environment that I felt completely at ease. So much so, I actually really enjoyed performing my piece (dud notes and all) at the end of the weekend!
Dave - who is an amazing teacher - gave us a recital on Saturday evening which was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend for me. Well, that, the food, and being able to wander round the beautiful grounds.
I also really enjoyed the music theory about the circle of fifths, which was very insightful and a great way to memorise scales. A great balance was struck between free time to play and practice and workshops and learning, and I came away from the weekend feeling inspired to dust off my old sheet music! I will be back!
(January 15, 2018, 7:19 am)Such a lovely wkd - great food in such a beautiful building and the piano tuition was excellent. I hadn't played for a while and it was great to be able to try all the fantastic grand pianos. A great mix of individual advice, group sessions and time to practice. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get playing the piano again. I will definitely be coming back!

(July 5, 2015, 5:45 am)A great place to visit if you are interested in pianos. Unlike almost all other museums, this one encourages the visitor to play these wonderful historic instruments. The owners are a delight to meet and make you most welcome.
