(August 19, 2018, 2:50 pm)So close to London yet feels like you're deep in the countryside. A lovely and very relaxing cottage with everything you could wish for bar a washing machine (for longer stays). There's no TV or Wi-fi and minimal mobile reception but personally I feel that just adds to the charm. Not recommended for the very tall as the beams and doorways are quite low. If I were to pick faults then the distant passenger planes on their way to Gatwick would go away but you soon get used to it and filter it out. Highly recommended.
(January 17, 2018, 6:22 am)A stunning property in a quiet location. Woke to the sound of sheep and went to sleep to the sound of an owl. Landmark Trust, you've done it again! We loved it.
Ps. We met the farmer. He was very chatty and extremely friendly. Just respect him and his land (its his livelihood afterall) and stay on the approved tracks which are clearly marked ????
