I only give 1 less because it's not wheelchair/ pushchair friendly but doable with help.
(September 22, 2018, 3:13 pm)Lovely 13th century pub. Despite its age it feels contemporary with the landscaped beer garden at the back. Met Chris the owner who seems a genuinely nice guy. The staff were friendly and food was excellent. Situated in the beautiful village of Speldhurst.

Portions adequate couldn't have managed dessert.

(July 23, 2018, 1:38 pm)Recommend by the Michelin site, we gave this ago after travelling home from Germany. It was great! The pub itself dates back a few hundred years and is beautiful. Staff are friendly and food was of really good standard. I'd definitely return here on my next visit to Kent/East Sussex
