  Really impressed with the displays and the passion that goes into the good work they are doing here! Loved the Shackleton tour as well, with a really knowledgeable ex-RAF pilot,

  A nice little museum close to London. Aircraft not too close together so good photo opportunities and an Avro Shackleton that you can go inside. It is also a short walk through the country to a spot where you can watch planes taking off from Gatwick airport.

  Amazing museum, so much to see and do. Staff are really friendly. It's definitely a good place to go on a rainy day, probably more suitable for adults and older children. We were lucky when visited as it was a sunny day so we were able to enjoy the outside aircraft too. As it's so close to Gatwick it's also an aircraft spotters paradise too will planes taking off and landing every few minutes.

  This is a cracking little aircraft museum well worth a visit. The highlight was a guided tour of the Shackleton by a former pilot. Such a privilege to hear first-hand accounts of what it was like to fly one of these on all sorts of missions. We went inside the aircraft and the kids were allowed to explore and sit in the seats, which was a fantastic experience for them. They've also got a few legends like the Harrier, Lightning, Hunter and Meteor. The kids loved being able to get in a Canberra cockpit and pretend to fly in a light aircraft cockpit. There's also a large grassy area outside for playing on and an area for viewing the comings and goings at Gatwick Airport.

  Great small museum with lots of exhibits and static aircraft on display. Cheap price for what you get. £7.50 entry fee for adults.
  
  Included in the price is a guided tour of the Shackleton. Our guide was Ken, a former navigator on the Shackleton and was really informative and full of interesting and funny stories. You even get to sit at the flight controls in the cockpit!
  
  At the end of the field on the site there is a viewing area that looks over the end of the Gatwick main runway - a great location for taking photos of aircraft taking off or landing.
  
  Well worth a visit and to spend 2-3 hours at.
