(November 29, 2018, 9:24 am)I arrived in the evening and had a bit of trouble finding it off the lane - top tip look out for a sign saying "conference centre" on
The building and the grounds looked stunning (when I saw the grounds in the morning).
It was a warm welcome and the staff were quick to help and get me sorted. The hotel was dressed for Christmas and it looked great.
The room itself was cosy and the TV and WiFi were great and worked well.
Got down to dinner a bit late, though that wasn't a problem and the food was nice, with good service.
Overall the stay was good, the bad points were that there was a light flashing in the bathroom (bulb was about to go). By the time I got back to my room and noticed, it was too much of an hassle to tell anyone about and in reality not a big issue.
The bed was ridiculously soft and again that is down to a personal preference.
on the plus side they had massive bath towels, which sounds like a ridiculous comment, though at a bigger guy trying to dry with something just bigger than a flannel can get tedious.
All in all its a been a good stay

(November 12, 2018, 7:41 am)Lovely hotel but unfortunately we were put in the extension to the hotel. Rooms clean and had everything we needed. Had some bar food which was very nice and prices not too bad considering it was a hotel. Went on Groupon murder mystery which we enjoyed but food wasn't anything to shout about could have done with an option on food and bit more tasty. Will return in the future and hopefully can get a room in the actual hotel next time

The food was ok but you didn't have a choice it was a set menu. The event was really good, myself and my family enjoyed the entertainment and disco.
The rooms in the lodge were lovely, comfortable and clean.
(October 10, 2018, 2:27 pm)Beautiful Family Wedding. Lovely Manor House & Grounds. Staff were extremely attentive. The Wedding Breakfast food was of good quality but a little undercooked for my personal taste.
The reception area had no seating so had to find seating either in the hallway or the bar area.
Gorgeous room, however bathroom was freezing with only a towel warmer as the heating. In the morning the bathroom omitted an awful odour, which I can confirm was not me or my partner!
Amazing selection of food @ breakfast.
The surrounding area is stunning with walking routes which include local windmills, rivers & pubs. There are also a large number of deer in the area.
Would definitely recommend this venue with
more Pro's than Con's.
We will be booking ourselves in here again.
