A beautiful and quiet place. Went to fetch my wife from Gatwick and took my kids here first. It is so peaceful it is hard to believe you are so close to a busy airport. At the same time we picked almost 2kg of blackberries.
A liitle paradise in Surrey. Really not to be missed.
A lovely ancient woodland copse now maintained by the Woodland Trust, and they do a good job. Very little parking and the waymarking posts are of limited use, we found. However, there are bluebelles when in season and a quiet walk on offer. If it is wet, or has been recently, take wellies or walking boots.
A genuine ancient wood containing a spectacular wildflower meadow with orchids. Circular walk, can be sticky in the wet. Limited roadside parking.
