“Family of 5 who went for an evening meal yesterday (Saturday) evening. The new owners made us feel very welcome right from the start and couldn’t do enough for us. The dinners were outstandingly tasty and very generous portions. The decor with its open fires makes this pub restaurant an excellent choice if you are looking for great food and excellent service in a comfortable friendly setting. 5 stars all round.”

“This venue was booked for a surprise party for me for a significant birthday. Decoration was allowed so balloons, banners etc were in abundance. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent and we had a very enjoyable evening. A total mess up with the bill stops me giving a fifth star. Highly recommended.”

“Just returned from a wonderful stay at the lodge and it was fantastic just what we needed,me and my wife arrived at 2pm Saturday afternoon and didn’t stop smiling till we left on Monday morning, surroundings were beautiful cabin was beautiful,bed was outstanding welcome basket was delightful the log burner was cosy and to top things off the fishing was a bonus 4 nice carp and a 3lb roach we will definitely be back in the summer”
