“The quality of the food I ate was very good. It all tastes like it had just been cooked. However, I don't think there was enough staff to sufficiently deal with service requirements. At least not front of house. I know I had a larger order, but I could see my products ready and there was no one to give me it because they were using the till. When someone did come and help, they started giving all the smaller orders (coffees) out but ignoring mine even though it was done. Server was polite and apologetic while I was being given my order.”

Good, fresh quality food which is well seasoned. If you are super hungry, get the chicken (IT'S HUGE) and the salmon is really yummy! :)”

“Twice this year I was impressed by the quality of the service and freshness of ingredients in this establishment. It’s very unusual for the airport to have a caviar house , I was surprised when I saw it and then I got surprised when I tried their food. Unbelievable salmon that just melts in your mouth, great house champagne and stellar caviar selection! Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!”

“Now called Vanda and run by a new company. Dishes from several Asian cuisines done quite well but still has a Chinese influence. House wine list ok, better by the bottle. Service good if a little unfriendly. Very busy on the night we visited, but they coped. Overall, not bad for an airport hotel...and an improvement on other visits in last few years.”

“We visited the Gatwick Shake-a-Hula mainly because I had downloaded some vouchers from the My Gatwick website. We ordered hot dogs and a few bottles of water (purchased on separate occasions on the same day). At the counter we were quickly served and started looking for a seat. There wasn't much space, so be prepared to find somewhere to sit elsewhere in the airport if it is busy.”
