Exercising in a home gym is a good choice. Many people have the experience of spinning classes. The LCD display is back-lit with calories, time, speed, virtual distance, and total mileage. Resistance is adjusted via a lever. The flywheel is 18Lbs, suitable for home use. If you stop pedaling, it will continue to spin (along with your pedals) but not as dramatically or intrusively as some.
