“I have to say, this GP surgery is excellent, very flexible/accommodating towards its patients if in need of urgent assistance, very friendly and helpful staff, the doctors are all extremely good, particularly Dr Devendra Patel, Dr Hijab Batool & Dr Ruth Allenby. They are excellent doctors, always fully understanding the patients symptoms prior to giving advice and prescribing a remedy and they also allow time for you to ask any questions without hurrying you out of the door like some other GP practices. You are treated with respect and leave feeling that they genuinely care about your personal health and wellbeing... If GP practices were nominated annual awards, then the Fryent Way Surgery would win every year!”

“I had hip replacement surgery here and everyone - from the receptionists to the surgeon, theatre staff and nurses - was fantastic.The food was tasty and there was always tea and biscuits to hand just when you needed them. The physio follow up treatment has also been excellent. No one wants to go to hospital but these guys made it all ok.”

“I was admitted to this department for a spinal epidural and MUA. Everyone from reception to the theatre and the ward were cheerful and reassuring, putting me at ease and keeping my daughter and myself informed or the procedure. Even when I had to stay overnight, because I was still unable to use my legs, due to being numb from the hips down . In particular the staff in the recovery ward were amazing. Making sure I was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble .Even offering us hot drinks and sandwiches. Incredibly, Christopher McLean, my surgeon, had been knocked off his bike on his way to work! Thankfully he was not badly hurt. But after getting cleaned up, he came into the hospital to perform surgery, which he could have understandly cancelled. Such dedication! NHS at it's best. Thank you all. You are wonderful.”

“After spending 4 nights in SSU where the nurses did their best against poor processes and understaffing I moved to the Wells Suite which is a private ward in the Pembury NHS hospital. What a difference. It was comfortable, the food was excellent, the staff were great. Within 1/2 a day I started to feel so much better in myself. Could anything be improved? Well yes: 1. T V stuck on BBC1 - hardly the most important thing in the world 2. Took 7 hours to discharge me. Mainly because the drugs had to come from the pharmacy which is where we re-enter the world of the NHS so I would put a private pharmacy on the ward or a dedicated person in the pharmacy and this is fixed! Neither of these improvements detracted from the excellent care provided and, whilst I would avoid the NHS side of the hospital, would highly recommed The Wells Suite.”

“My Son in law had a stroke at the age of 47 in Feb 2013' after a long stay at the Lister hospital he was transfered to Danesbury in welwyn. He was greeted by very friendly staff who supported him in his confusion in the early days of where he was now. They also supported us as a family all through his stay' and worked very hard with my son in law to help him achieve the best recovery he could have. Every time we visited without exception we were greeted with such kindness and understanding. The staff there are a brilliant team of hard working people who cared for my son in law with great dignity and respect My lovely daughter and son in law continue to be supported now he has returned home. All through this very difficult and confusing time in their lives where their whole world has been turned upside down I feel I cannot praise Danesbury enough for their Kindness support and help with this extremly difficult time in all our familys lives.
