  Horrible experience, they attempted to place my service animals in surrender, pressured me to leave belongings as 1 bag is allowed. And reffered me to another shelter so they would not have to deal legally with denying me and service animal assistance. My animals were registered and I had documentation from doctor and get. They were trained and non aggressive.

  A lovely emergency shelter for women and children. First Light is a special place to me. I've donated in many ways over the years since college. If you're looking for a good local charity to support or in need of emergency housing, this is an amazing place. The staff are so very kind and the community loves this place. They'll help whomever they can and gracefully.
