(June 27, 2023, 10:12 pm)First of all, Madeleine was the BEST server ever! Second, the food. WOW! So delicious. I had the pork and greens and my husband had the shrimp and greens. The tang of the vinegar of the greens cut the fatty flavor of the cheese in the grits and pork and came together for this perfect blend of amazing topped with the perfect crunchy crown on top.
We ha e no idea what came over us but we decided to have dessert. Holy cow. I got the Butterscotch bread pudding and my husband got the banana pudding. Speechless! Even the tea was amazing.
If we're ever in Birmingham again we WILL be back!!!
(May 20, 2023, 7:36 pm)The food was terrific, and the portion was worth the cost. My husband and I got two meat plates with two sides for about 50 dollars. The sauces provided complimented it perfectly, and I would recommend the baked beans, mac cheese, and banana pudding—overall great experience. I will be back.
(February 7, 2023, 9:55 pm)Could these be the best wings in the world? Im not sure but they should definitely be in the running. Wow. What an amazing experience. I'm from steel country in Canton, OH and currently live in Colorado Springs. This was a great taste of the South. The wings were INCREDIBLE and the environment was great. This is a funky hole in the wall with a great following and culture. I visited during the middle of the day, from around 2:30-5:00pm. During that time, the restaurant filled up with what seemed like regulars. One classy looking older woman, maybe in her 60's(?), came in with a friend and ordered some wings and a tall boy and pulled out her own coozie. It's that kind of place. They had a happy hour with cheap drinks and ICE COLD beer. They also had an outside area for additional seating. This place is a MUST VISIT. Hands down. I will definitely return.
(January 9, 2023, 2:56 pm)All of the food had a great taste and the sandwiches were very filling. Great layout and atmosphere. Loved the music and our waitress Jordan was so sweet! Will definitely be back.
(November 16, 2022, 1:10 am)Visited this location for the first time. Service was very fast and friendly. I had a simple pulled pork sandwich which was great. The sauce is like vinegar/slightly sweet. I wish I had requested extra sauce. Good visit. No problems.
