Marathon

Arrived in the middle of the night needing a place to just lay my head down for a few hours after a difficult evening. I was greeted warmly by a very pleasant gentleman named Anthony. We had the most delightful conversation and he was truly a bright spot and blessing! The staff at the breakfast buffet (which was delicious) were warm and friendly as well. Only got to stay the one night, but would gladly recommend and will stay again when in the area.

This is a two-star hotel, so don't expect turn-down service and a brand new facility. That said, there were beautiful and well kept courtyard areas, a great dining room for a full buffet-style breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Great water-pressure/temperature for showers. And the service was friendly and efficient, at a central location for PNC arena and other amenities in the area. Well worth the cost of the stay.

Booked a room last minute. Donavon welcomed us & was extremely polite & helpful. Check in was super easy. The hot water didn’t work in our room, but Donavon was great & helped us switch rooms no problem. Breakfast was so delicious, we went back for more! I ended up accidentally leaving my cats water bowl in the room & I called down to the hotel, Colby answered the phone and was on the case immediately! He called me back 5 minutes later and located the missing water bowl! Thanks Colby!! If your looking for an inexpensive hotel that’s actually nice, this is the place for you! 10/10 would recommend. They will definitely be getting our business again!

This hotel gets the job done. My pup was having surgery at the NC State Vet School. I was able to have her there with me the first night and it was super convenient to go visit her the other days once she was admitted to the hospital. It's definitely not fancy and a bit old, but it's clean and comfortable. The staff is super nice and friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. I enjoyed my stay here, especially considering the circumstances. The reviews about the wifi are true, they acknowledged the problem, but put me in a room where I'd have a good signal and I never had a problem with the wifi the entire time. The breakfast buffet is also a nice touch. Not having to pay for a meal was definitely an added value in the midst of high vet bills and it was pretty decent. My room had both a fridge and microwave which was helpful for reheating leftovers. The Indian restaurant on site was closed, so that was a bit of a bummer because I love Indian food and was looking forward to trying it out. One really nice touch was that they had Caribou Coffee in the rooms, which is my all time favorite. Thank you for making my stay nice and comfortable in the midst of a challenging week.

Rooms were clean and the open outdoor space was very pleasant with gazebos for outdoor seating and well lit. The desk staff were super nice and informative. I brought my dog it was easy to take them out since we were on the 1st floor. No weird smells or anything that made it obviously seem like a pet friendly hotel.

Good price for fountain drinks.
