The Six Avenue Baptist church service was a harmonious blend of uplifting worship hymns, heartfelt prayers, and inspiring sermons, creating a sacred atmosphere that touched the souls of all who attended. A warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.
I grew up at Sixth Avenue. My family and I became members around 1978. I loved Reverend Porter and his family. I loved vacation bible svhool and learned so much about the Bible in Sunday school in Mr Walker's class. I actually won that competition he had annually. The Easter speeches and Easter egg hunts were fun as well. We moved away in 88 and I recently came back last summer to visit. I was walking around the grounds feeling nostalgic telling a good friend of mine what a great church it was and how the building hadn't changed. I was taking pictures when the Reverend walked up and introduced himself. We talked for a minute. Such a nice gentleman. We both talked about Rev Porter for a second. I told him I have watched him preach on YouTube. I enjoyed his word. I can't wait to visit after everything opens back up. It seems like 6th Avenue is in great hands
Always a great experience at Sixth Ave Baptist Church. We have a great Pastor in John Canteloe. God Bless
Had an awesome time dancing with the Sixth Avenue Slider! Will see them next dance class. Wonderful group of people!
This my church home. I've been a member since 1982. My kids learn about the love of God while growing up in this this church. My wife and I look forward to growing closer to Jesus as are getting older.
