Edgar's Bakery

I just moved here and the bakery close by was closed. My mom and I drove here instead and I'm happy we did. The cake was amazing! I tried only eating a little bit but ended up eating the entire slice. I plan to come back to try breakfast too! I had the strawberry cake but unfortunately don't have a photo to share. It was too good!

This is a quaint little Place, they have fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, cheese balls, cinnamon buns as well as petit fours. There is so much more. If you are having a special occasion, they will have all the real goodies that you can even ask for. They also have a great chicken salad croissant, sandwich, chicken salad wrap, and a chicken salad plate, which is similar to a salad with chicken salad in the middle.

They used to bring their cakes into work all the time at the Regions Operational Center and it was very good. Since I needed something sweet for my wife's birthday we stopped by Edgar's in Hoover. She had never been in Edgar's before and now upset with me for not bringing her in here sooner! She found two cupcakes with butter cream frosting and we got a cinnamon roll which was delicious. They also had orange roll samples at the cash register which my wive was raving about. I didn't realize they had breakfast and lunch selections along with a kid's menu. We will definitely be back to try something from their breakfast or lunch menu in the near future.

The strawberry cake was awesome.. And the butter pound cake..Updating my review.. Monday for valentine day I had hopes of getting some cupcakes from here only to end up buying a whole strawberry 🍰... Well let me tell you, everyone that I shared that cake with was so in love with it.... I was never a big fan of strawberry cake before now.. But I will be coming back to buy one once a month.. My boss definitely loves it, it's his favorite.. I know what his birthday 🍰 is going to be come July..

Was passing thru Alabama and my mom who has frequently visited Birmingham and surrounding areas recommended this place. We had to check it out! We tried a couple of cupcakes from the bakery, had some breakfast and coffee to go, and also bought some of those flaky rolls, upon my moms request, and brought the baked goods all the way back to Orlando! Wish there was a place like this near us; I’d be there everyday. Keep up the great work and awesome service!
