Turkey Creek Falls

This place is a gem. Not too far from birmingham and not crowded at all. There are picnic tables and so many spots for enjoying the creek. You can get in the water as it's not deep...maybe2 to 3 feet max. There is no lifeguard so be careful with little ones always. But creek current is not that strong. Lots of sunshine. It's part of a park so several hiking trails also. O entry or parking fees. This is a must see.

It is nice to be able to find such a pristine area this close to Birmingham.

Peaceful and serene for Hiking, Rock climbing, swimming, enjoying waterfalls, or relaxing. I absolutely love the fact I can take my pup.

I came here for a hike, which was moderately easy. I came from the Southside of town, so I didn't know this was a watering hole. People had inner tubes and chairs to relax near the water. The place is well maintained, but watch for broken glass while walking barefoot near the water.

Absolutely gorgeous. Can't beat free admission. The trail along the river was fantastic. The only downside is that downstream of the falls has lots of trash on the banks. Like... A lot. Staff was very friendly!
