Emily and Jeremy were so easy to work with! They are incredibly nice and helpful when my husband was looking into purchasing his first adult bike. They took the time to find the right bike for him. The bike he wanted in the color and size was not at that location but we ordered it on Tuesday and it was delivered and ready by Friday.
I have an old bike. I was going to buy a new one and they were a bit out of my price range. The csr recommended having my bike fixed. I brought my bike up and theh did work to it. It rides like new. I'm so happy.
Loved the services offered....they were reasonably priced....awesome customer service....communication....speed of service to get my Wife's bike fixed.
We love our bikes and the quality is amazing! We are just casual riders, but they were very patient with all of our beginners questions. They were so knowledgeable in helping us to find the right fit for our new bikes too. We just couldn't believe the difference between them and our old bikes! Thank you all again!

Original Review: I have lived in or near Birmingham for the past 23+ years. Tried a few shops and recently (within the last 6 months) decided to give the Cahaba Cycles in Trussville a go at my business. The staff has been consistently friendly and knowledgeable. They have also done a renovation of the Trussville location. It is centrally located to my work and there fore convenient to make a stop by on lunch. To date I have had them resurrect that is rebuild two bikes.
The first is my 2000 Gary Fisher Sugar 2. It is near and dear to my heart as it represents one of my first "adult" mountain bikes. I bought it new back 17 years ago and have kept it. I feel that they did an excellent job with the bike and certainly kept me well informed throughout the process. I was given plenty of options that ranged from simply making it safe to ride again or truly rebuilding it and addressing any known or found weak points. I opted for the later and am extremely happy with the outcome. So happy I took another bike to them for a rebuild/overhaul.
The second bike is a fat tire bike. A Cogburn 2015 year model CB4. I bought it from facebook and the previous owner had told me several times that it was an "outside" bike. Living its life in the great outdoors. Not ridding - but always kept outside. This presents certain challenges when it comes to maintenance etc. I had negotiated a great trade for the bike so off to Cahaba Cycles in Trussville for the rebuild.
I usually deal with Josh on the phone and he and Daniel are the two main employees that help me. I came in with the Cogburn and a wish list for things I knew that needed addressing. They have different "service packages" that give you choices on not just what is done - but when used strategically includes the labor to cover the stated repairs. This helps save money and. in my opinion, allows more money towards parts. As expected the bike needed work.
I again was given plenty of options and sage advice on which route to take. I ride my bikes hard and do keep up with the regular maintenance. I decided to go for another "total" rebuild similar in scope to the Sugar. They tackled the job and kept me updated with regular calls. To save me money , the bike has a 2X11 drive train, the front big chain ring needed replacing, however, it was no longer in production. Josh took it up as a mission to find one. That saved me money as opposed to replacing both front rings. He did pull through and found at RaceFace HQ in Canada.
I picked the bike up today and it felt like Christmas in April! Shiny parts surrounded the faded paint scheme. I will update when I get some ride time in.
Bottom line is I am happy with the two rides they have resurrected. So much so that they now have a third project bike :)
*Update May 1, 2019 - Picked up my third project bike today. Daniel was so very professional and prepared for my arrival. He pointed out the repairs and offered me a detailed work order. They came in under budget and I now have an "as new" bike component wise with a few character marks from its past. I am so very pleased to have had another positive experience with this location. Thank you Cahaba Cycles of Trussville!
